Beautiful and pleasant surprise, magnificent discovery Friends gave us the very pleasant surprise of visiting the Château de Cènevières. The road that leads us there on this sunny autumn day is a real treat for the eyes, as much for the color of the vegetation as for the road steeped in history that we are taking. On site we are welcomed by Patrick, the master of the house, who presents this building to us that has preserved the marks of history, of its history, of its occupants. The vivid presentation of anecdotes and family stories is all the more delightful. It is a narrative that captures attention, admiration for the place; one feels the past, the rooms come alive each time one enters them. Patrick is perfect in his narration, knowing how to captivate the attention of both adults and children. If you are in the area, do not hesitate to push your curiosity as far as this place. The building and its history will transport you to another era; you cut yourself off from the current world to relive that moment. If you do not know what to do, go there; it is worth the detour.Publié sur Tripadvisor![]()

A wonderful visit to a fascinating historic château, with beautifully preserved rooms that really bring its history to life. We particularly loved the Grand Salon with its magnificent painted ceiling, and the views across the valley from the terrace are absolutely stunning. We also really appreciated a lovely conversation with someone who took the time to tell us more about the history of the château and the considerable challenges involved in maintaining such an extraordinary historic property. It gave us an even greater appreciation of the effort that goes into preserving a place like this. Highly recommended!+1Publié sur Google![]()

Magnificent Château on the Lot River I visited the Château Cénevières yesterday, on a day trip from Toulouse. I was greeted warmly by the wife of the Castle Steward and their adorable dalmatien. I did the self-guided tour, with an English-language booklet that was easy to follow and packed with information. This is truly a special place! If you are in the Cahors area, you should definitely visit this château…Publié sur Google![]()
