More than just a tour, this castle offers a complete change of scenery as it tells the story of the site dating back to its origins in the 8th century! Tales of sieges and assaults, along with family anecdotes, punctuate the tour, while your eyes feast on this fully furnished castle: furniture, armor, tapestries, paintings, tools… an unforgettable and unique experience.
Let yourself be swept away by the magic of Cénevières: at your own pace and wherever your interests take you. The castle opens its doors to you and guides you through your visit with a 14-page booklet that lets you explore the local history and the broader history of the area at your own pace….
Are you part of an existing group (friends, family, collectors, etc.)? A group tour is perfect for you—just like a canoe trip, a hike on the Causse, or a nice meal at a restaurant. The château staff will reserve a dedicated—or even personalized—tour slot for you if you tell us a little about your group. By reservation, at a time that works for you!
A castle to explore, experience, and enjoy… just like a real knight or princess!
Welcome to children ages 4 to 9. This interactive tour is specially designed for you, so you can learn while having fun! You’ll need all five of your senses to understand the castle’s construction, its defenses, and daily life back in the days of princesses and knights. Once you pass through the carriage gates, you can dress up and even get all ready for the ball being held in your honor in the grand Renaissance ballroom!!!!!
By candlelight, enjoy a magical, timeless experience.
Every Wednesday, Cénevières lights up to immerse you in the magic of a candlelit tour. More than just a tour, it’s an enchanting immersion into the castle’s mysteries, revealed by the glow of lanterns and the splendor of the costumes. Bonus: a complimentary sweet treat served in the main courtyard at the end of the tour. A moment of camaraderie shared with the castle’s owners.
In consultation with the teachers, the castle staff offers a tour tailored to the students’ grade level (in terms of both duration and content): a perfect balance between school and fun!!!!
Uncover the secrets of perspective and bring 3D to life, just as they did during the Renaissance.
In this workshop, the architecture, woodwork, and paintings of Cénevières serve as a setting for exploring one of the most beautiful hallmarks of the Renaissance: perspective. Everyone will have the chance to try their hand at the basic techniques of this graphic representation, which allows us to depict three-dimensional space.
