Maintenance Work

Since the castle is designated a Historic Monument, the work is being carried out with financial support from:

  • From the government via the DRAC
  • From the Occitanie Region
  • From the department

The conservation study, conducted between 2023 and 2025, identified four major restoration priorities for which we will very soon launch a fundraising campaign through the Fondation du Patrimoine and seek out sponsors:

  • Reinforcement of the rock on which the castle stands and on which numerous risks—both upstream and downstream—were identified during the geotechnical analysis.
  • West Wing – Terrace (waterproofing) and Northeast Low Elevation.
  • North section of the east wing – Enclosed and roofed: terrace, roof framing, and roofing.
  • Stables – Enclosed and Covered
